Innovative protection against fire and false alarms with early fire detection
To protect employees and machinery from fires, the company opted for a video-based fire detection system
Fire alarm systems reach their limits in locations with high ceilings, an increased fire load and disruptive light reflections. MKM Mansfelder Kupfer und Messing GmbH also faced this challenge. As a leading manufacturer of intermediate products and semi-finished products made of copper and copper alloys, the company wanted to improve the fire protection system in two production halls at its Hettstedt site in Saxony-Anhalt.
In search of an ideal solution, the factory fire department tested many classic fire protection systems. Due to the large dimensions of the two halls, the Bosch AVIOTEC video-based fire detection system was ultimately the only feasible solution. AVIOTEC is the first video-based fire detection system certified by VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH (VdS). Intelligent algorithms integrated directly into the camera mean that smoke and flames are detected at an early stage.
Performance Built on Partnership
