AVENAR detector 4000 uses Bosch’s own Intelligent Signal Processing (ISP) technology, which achieves the highest level of intelligent fire detection.
For the next step in precision, the detector series also includes four variants with Dual Ray Technology for even more accurate and early fire detection everywhere. It distinguishes visible disturbance values, such as dust, steam and cigarette smoke.

As it is our commitment to guarantee 100% product and service quality, all fire detectors must first prove their worth in-house passing tests even beyond specifications.

Our engineering teams ensure top quality and perform test fires according to EN54 standards. This is a necessary step to be approved by the testing institution VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH. Before receiving the approval, every fire detection product on the market has previously passed various standard tests. These include a series of different fires that show how the detectors perform under different conditions.

Every time a fire alarm is activated, safety managers must respond to this emergency with instructions for evacuation of the building to ensure the safety of everyone present. This means, however, that business hours are interrupted and lost while a premises is investigated for signs of fire. False alarms are especially very costly for every kind of business.

Large building complexes, including tall corporate towers, manufacturing halls, spacious hospitals, or transport hubs, comprise a variety of rooms with different sources of heat and activity. Thus, in some areas, a standard smoke detector, fire alarm control panels or sprinkler system may suffice, for instance. Others, however, may demand the installation of specialized fire protection or alarm systems, or even sensors for gases, such as carbon monoxide detectors.

Fire safety personnel typically install fire alarm systems, heat detectors, co detectors and so on, in different buildings and facilities over different time periods for large, complex business premises. This, however, results in a mismatch of technology and equipment, making it difficult and time-consuming to maintain an overview. In Turkey, the Türk Traktör Erenler Factory employs high-quality, modern technology to produce 50,000 tractors across a 290,723 m2 business area. Bosch were called upon as a fire protection partner to install four modular fire panels (5000 series), and 650 optical, heat, combined and aspirating smoke detectors to cover an array of different application areas. In addition, 68 manual call points and the Bosch and Voice Alarm System with almost 500 loudspeakers were all integrated on the premises.

Clinics, hotels and care homes rely on a chain of external partners to supply materials for their daily functions and facilities. This includes the high demand for bed linen, patient gowns, PPE and medical equipment. Huge rolling conveyors generate high temperatures while processing textiles. This poses risks of smouldering or even sparks at electrical and mechanical points.

Synergy Health in The Netherlands is a global company providing linen supplies and rental for hospitals, but also laundry services. Other Synergy Health sites specialize in the sterilization of medical equipment and devices, which requires a combination of sterilization methods – and therefore diverse fire hazards from heat, radiation and chemicals. Bosch supported the company with a major overhaul with a fully scalable solution for fire protection facilities across sites of varying sizes and with different requirements. The Modular Fire Panels 5000 Series were installed with 700 fire detectors, including the Automatic Fire Detector 420 Series with Dual Ray Technology. The system can be modified or extended as needed at any time.

Large-scale and luxury hotels typically offer much more than a room for the night for guests. Multiple restaurants, bars, conference rooms, lounges, and wellness facilities, including a spa, hair salon, fitness studio or swimming pool are often on site. This combination of facilities and activities, however, means that guests can be spread across multiple areas in a hotel building at any time. Smoking cigarettes on a balcony, having their hair dried and styled, while catering staff prepare food in hot ovens and pans. There are many potential sources of fire.

Bosch delivered a combined networked security and fire safety solution in Turkey for the 5-star Hilton Bursa Convention Center and Spa and 3-star Hampton by Hilton Bursa. The Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series was installed with the modern, discreet, ultra-flat design Automatic Fire Detectors 500 Series. 250 cameras were installed for video surveillance. The Bosch Building Integration System was applied to connect all these with the Public Address and Voice Alarm System for almost 60 zones.

A large hospital site comprises some areas with open access to visitors, plus restricted areas, such as operating room, maternity wards and intensive care. Some sections are spacious with little activity and others are busy and packed with patients, staff and equipment. Although the level of fire load and hazards can vary, every area of a healthcare facility must be set up with fire detection facilities.

The Adana Integrated Health Campus in Turkey chose Bosch for our holistic, integrated approach and cutting-edge solutions for fire monitoring and building security. Video surveillance with 2,000 cameras, 30,000 fire detectors and 27networked modular fire panels provide comprehensive safety for this huge complex across three buildings with a capacity of 1,550 hospital beds. The Voice Alarm System is connected to 10,000 loudspeakers across the campus and reliable alerts can be triggered from any of over 40,000 detection points.

International airports cover hectares of land and comprise not only facilities for air travel, but also connect with train and bus stations, vehicle hire services, hotels and multiple parking lots. A fire at any one of these major activity points could impact all others with a need for evacuation and inspections. Thus, a highly reliable network of fire and smoke detection and alarm systems with PA facilities is needed for efficient response times in case of emergency.

In Cambodia, Phnom Penh International is one of the world's fastest-growing airports with crowds of passengers entering its doors daily. To keep everyone and the building safe from harm and to prevent any service bottlenecks, effective fire protection planning was essential. Bosch fitted all constructions on the site with a fire alarm system, and special optical and linear-beam smoke detectors, as well as static and moving surveillance cameras. The Public Address and Voice Alarm Systems alert personnel whenever real signs of fire or smoke are detected.
